Freight Text Medium settles into a confident middle ground, offering more presence than Regular without tipping into heaviness. The added weight deepens the page color and sharpens hierarchy, making it especially satisfying in sustained reading where a touch of emphasis improves rhythm. Its Dutch-inflected warmth remains intact, with sturdy serifs and calm proportions that feel both pragmatic and humane. Use it to anchor body text in books and journals, or pair it with Regular and Semibold to create a clear, measured typographic voice across complex editorial systems.

About the Freight Collection

This is a collection of integrated typefaces ready to add unique style to any design project. What Joshua Darden started as a serif family inspired by the warmth and pragmatism found in 18th-century Dutch typefaces became The Freight Collection and now ranges across multiple weights, widths, and optical sizes — from Big to Display, Text, Micro, Macro, Sans, Neo, and Round — all of which include companion italics. That’s 192 fonts that have the ability to be bold and daring just as easily as they can be quiet and unassuming.
