Freight Text Book Italic details
Freight Text Book Italic carries the quiet confidence of the roman into a more expressive register. Its rhythm feels natural and unforced, with a gentle forward motion that suits sustained reading rather than fleeting emphasis. Compared to the Regular Italic, the Book weight offers a touch more presence on the page, making it especially comfortable in literary work, essays, and thoughtful editorial settings. It pairs seamlessly with the Book roman for immersive text, and can step forward to contrast lighter weights without breaking the calm, cohesive voice of the Text series.

About the Freight Collection
This is a collection of integrated typefaces ready to add unique style to any design project. What Joshua Darden started as a serif family inspired by the warmth and pragmatism found in 18th-century Dutch typefaces became The Freight Collection and now ranges across multiple weights, widths, and optical sizes — from Big to Display, Text, Micro, Macro, Sans, Neo, and Round — all of which include companion italics. That’s 192 fonts that have the ability to be bold and daring just as easily as they can be quiet and unassuming.
