Freight Display Medium Italic details
Medium Italic finds its voice in movement rather than mass. It carries more emphasis than the Regular Italic, yet stops short of the drama found in the bolder weights, making it an agile middle ground for expressive typography. The Dutch-inspired warmth of the family comes through in its steady rhythm, while the slant introduces a conversational tone that feels at home in literary titles, pull quotes, and refined packaging. Set against the upright Medium, it creates clear hierarchy without sharp contrast; paired with lighter weights, it adds momentum and a touch of theatricality. Within the wider Freight Display range, it’s the style that gently turns up the volume without raising its voice.

About the Freight Collection
This is a collection of integrated typefaces ready to add unique style to any design project. What Joshua Darden started as a serif family inspired by the warmth and pragmatism found in 18th-century Dutch typefaces became The Freight Collection and now ranges across multiple weights, widths, and optical sizes — from Big to Display, Text, Micro, Macro, Sans, Neo, and Round — all of which include companion italics. That’s 192 fonts that have the ability to be bold and daring just as easily as they can be quiet and unassuming.
