Freight Text 24 styles in 2 widths and 6 weights with italics Freight Text and Freight Text Compressed were designed for reading. Whether in magazines, newspapers, cookbooks, data-intensive documents, collateral, short introductions, or extended reads. Freight Text Compressed, space-saving as it is, can also easily be used on a larger scale when you want to keep it in the family. Both Freight Text and Freight Text Compressed have six weights ranging from Light to Black — all with corresponding italics — simultaneously familiar and fresh. What more could you ask for?

Freight Macro 12 styles in 1 width and 6 weights with italics Freight Macro, the slab serif companion to Freight Micro, is equally fit for situations like end notes, photo captions, legal documents, and other constrained conditions where small text is required. The large x-height, short ascenders and descenders, low contrast, and sturdy proportions make this family well-suited for these kinds of jobs — but the hidden magic is how very expressive it becomes when used for large type. Freight Macro has six weights ranging from Light to Black — all with corresponding italics.

Freight Micro 12 styles in 1 width and 6 weights with italics Freight Micro was initially designed for captions, footnotes, and other conditions onscreen and in print that demand extremely small text. Its unique half-wedge, half-slab serifs, the openness of the letter shapes, and abruptness in the sharply carved italics make it well-suited for any of these jobs — but its secret superpower is how amazingly illustrative it is when used for large type. In six weights ranging from Light to Black and corresponding italics, Freight Micro is an interesting exercise in whispering loudly.

About the Freight Collection
This is a collection of integrated typefaces ready to add unique style to any design project. What Joshua Darden started as a serif family inspired by the warmth and pragmatism found in 18th-century Dutch typefaces became The Freight Collection and now ranges across multiple weights, widths, and optical sizes — from Big to Display, Text, Micro, Macro, Sans, Neo, and Round — all of which include companion italics. That’s 192 fonts that have the ability to be bold and daring just as easily as they can be quiet and unassuming.
